What does this mean for my child? Children who started school during the academic year 2007/8 will become a Year 3 pupil in September 2010. These children can choose to stay with us on the Church Street school site (accommodation will be made available on the site) or they can apply to take up a Year 3 place in an alternative school. Children wishing to stay at our school will become our first Junior cohort and there is no need to apply for a place. However children who wish to apply for a Year 3 place in another school MUST apply for a place through the Local Authority admissions procedures. Children who started school during the academic year 2008/9 will become a Year 2 pupil in September 2010 and will automatically transfer to the new school premises when it is ready. Children starting school in September 2010 will join our Reception class on the Church Street school site and will automatically transfer to the new school premises when it is ready. Please see Admissions procedures on website. The relocation of the school to new premises will secure the long-term future of the school. The Headteacher, staff and governors of the school will work tirelessly with the pupils, parents/carers and the local community to ensure that the school continues to provide an ‘outstanding’ education for its pupils. We are all committed to ensuring that the ethos and the traditional values of the school are continued and improved upon in order to prepare our pupils to be citizens of the future and to have a love of learning.
