Home/School Agreement
 

All children and their parents/carers are asked to sign a Home/School Agreement, which is signed by the Headteacher. The content of the Home/School Agreement is set out below.

 

The school will do it’s best to:

  • Encourage your child to do his/her best at all times
  • Welcome parents/carers into the life of the school and keep you informed about general school matters
  • Keep you fully informed about your child’s progress
  • Provide a broad and balanced curriculum which meets the individual needs of your child
  • Provide a range of activities designed to enrich your child’s experience
  • Inform you about school policies and guidelines
  • Ensure the safety, happiness and self-confidence of all children
  • Ensure your child’s physical and emotional well being at all times
  • Promote high standards of work and behaviour through building good relationships and developing a sense of responsibility
  • Contact you as soon as possible, if there are any concerns or problems that affect your child’s learning or behaviour, and any reasons for celebrations
  • Foster positive relations and respect among children from all cultures and ethnic groups
  • Encourage the children to respect their environment
  • Promote a healthy lifestyle
  • To provide a balanced and nutritious school meal menu

 

The Parents/carers will do their best to:

  • Make sure that my child attends school regularly and is punctual
  • Listen to my child read at least three times per week and make a comment in their reading record book
  • See that my child wears the school uniform and sensible shoes
  • Contact the school as soon as possible, by phone or in writing, if my child is absent
  • Work with the school to try and make sure that my child behaves well
  • Talk to the school if my child is worried about attending school or if something happens to affect my child’ s learning or behaviour
  • Attend parent’s evenings and discussions about my child’s progress
  • Read and respond to any school correspondence promptly
  • Ensure that my child goes to bed at a reasonable time on weekdays and has breakfast before coming to school
  • Ensure that my child brings everything he/she needs to school
  • Take an interest in my child’s learning and support them to extend their learning at home
  • Support the school’s policies, guidelines and Healthy Schools initiative
  • Ensure that my child brings a healthy lunchbox to school (if applicable)
  • Encourage my child to adopt a healthy lifestyle
  • Keep my child safe at the gate

 

The pupil will try their best to:

  • Keep the school promise
  • Work hard
  • Talk at home about what I learn at school
  • Tell my teacher if I am worried about anything at school
  • Read my books to someone at home
  • Wear my school uniform with pride
  • Follow the school rules
  • Be polite and helpful
  • Look after everyone and everything in the school
  • Be friendly and play fairly and safely
  • Listen to others
  • Join in with all activities
  • Be healthy
  • Be proud of myself
  • SMILE every day
